Bat Drag Buster

The Bat Drag Buster is a revolutionary hitting product, that uses the concepts of Neuro Reaction Training to eliminate Bat Drag, a common flaw in young baseball and softball hitters. This new training aid, created by master hitting instructor Chas Pippitt, fixes common hitting mistakes like arm bar, disconnection from the turn, early hand activation, casting of the hands, bat drag, and more! The Bat Drag Buster fuses the batters arms and upper body into one unit, helping the hitter dramatically increase the force he or she can create when swinging. This is the only Baseball Rebellion Approved product that any baseball or softball hitter can use while hitting. Dry swings, Tee, Front toss, or Batting Practice, the Bat Drag Buster can be worn and used in all situations.  Increase your power. Increase your swing efficiency.  Get on plane early with the ball and learn to hit how the pros hit, with their body, not their hands.

    Hey Chas,

I love that I stumbled upon your stuff. In the last year I have studied the findings of Chris O’Leary, Mike Epstein, and now you. I absolutely love it! I am in charge of a youth program for a few different age divisions and am trying to implement new things. I am commenting on this section because after I was studying O’Leary I tried coming up with a product based upon elbow linkage. It is funny because it looks exactly like yours. The only difference is yours has an elastic component which is much better. I look forward to finding more information on your site and sharing ideas.

Thanks for the props on my Bat Drag Buster Product! It’s gaining steam fast within the baseball and softball communities that’s for sure!

Hopefully, Baseball Rebellion can be your one stop shop for Baseball hitting and pitching info so you can spend less time searching, and more time learning.

      Thanks for reading,

Hey Chas thanks for the few minutes this morning. Do you have a video on how the Drag buster can be utilized?

        • Chas Pippitt January 16, 2017 at 11:42 am · Reply

Yes, once you purchase the product, all our drills and instructions come with it from how to put it on to how to use it.

Same with the Rebel’s Rack as well!

Baseball rebellion has already become my one stop shop for knowledge. After playing college I too was frustrated with the amount I actually knew about the swing. I wanted to make sure my players don’t feel that way when they are done. I also want to ensure that they get the best coaching possible. So thank you!

How does this product stop the back elbow leading the hand? It doesn’t show it in the video?

    • jkhittingrebel April 24, 2015 at 12:44 pm · Reply

The product does not stop the elbow form leading the hand it forces the player to keep the elbows apart with resistance. If the product corrected the problem for the hitter, then he or she would never learn to perform the real movements without it on. This allows the player to feel an over correction and activate the correct muscles.

The batter must keep the middle band stretched in order to perform the correct movements and have the correct alignment at contact. Once the elbows are separated, then the batter will learn to simultaneously active the barrel before the back elbow shoots forward.

I think I understand. So the idea is to practice swing while forcing the elbows apart? What is the dangling rubber piece for, extra resistance?

        • jkhittingrebel April 25, 2015 at 9:53 am · Reply

Correct. There are two bands that allow the hitter to train two different ways. One band is shorter for between the elbows and then one goes around the back for an assisted training correction.

I have an 11 year old who would benefit greatly from this. I want to order one, but am unsure about the bands. I see that there is an option for adding additional bands. Do the bands that come with it work for younger players, or should I be looking at different bands?

    • Admin October 8, 2015 at 12:14 pm · Reply

The Bat Drag Buster comes with 1 White band and 1 Red band. Both Bands are used by players of any age / talent level, the main difference is the drills done with one versus the other. However, there have been a few cases where larger players or after many full swings with severe bat drag, a hitters have snapped a band, so we started to offer extra / replacement bands with he initial purchase. Replacement bands are also available to purchase after you have purchased the Bat Drag Buster.

What does this do differently and/or better than the Rebel’s Rack?

    • Gabe Dimock October 22, 2015 at 3:59 pm · Reply

The Rack helps the hitter retract the shoulder blades but the Bat Drag Buster helps the hitter keep their elbows apart as they turn. You can also take full swings with the Bat Drag Buster while you can’t with the rack. I hope this helps.

Works great, 5 half swings with my 9 year old and you could see the light bulb turn on. This was just at home with a tee and whiffle balls in the basement, can’t wait to get in the cage to do real work. The only thing I would say, is maybe you should look at some junior band sizes. We had to double up the white band for the front swings and use the white band in the regular manner for the behind the back to get enough resistance for him to feel it. Honestly, I’m on cloud nine from seeing the smile on his face because for the first time I know he actually felt what I’ve been trying to explain to him. I never leave comments on websites but I had to with this product. We also got the rebel rack and he told me he actually feels how everything works like a unit, instead of being arms and wrists. Highly recommended.

I’m glad you love the Bat Drag Buster and the Rebel’s Rack! I made those products selfishly, because as an instructor, I wanted to make my job easier. If the products didn’t work…they wouldn’t have accomplished that goal. Its very fun to see and hear the great results we’re getting all over the world at all levels of the game from boys and girls, amatures and pros, who use our products and our ideology on hitting.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, have a great day!

Great product! This is the best product I have ever bought. I just got this today and with 300 swings off a tee I went from lots of bat drag to none at all. By placing the tee see that the ball was high and inside, I was able to compact my swing and keep my back elbow up. This product actually does help get rid of bat drag. I highly recommend buying this.

Does this bat drag buster really work.? My 16 year old son leads with elbow big time in his swing and can’t fix on his own. We have video this and can’t get it fixed. His muscle memory I guess is the problem

    • Gabe Dimock January 27, 2017 at 10:25 am · Reply

The Bat Drag Buster does work! We use it in many of our lessons. The red band that goes behind the back keeps the shoulders retracted so that hitters can learn to turn without dragging. The white band goes in front of the hitter and attempts to pull the hitters elbows together. The hitter feels this pull and has to actively pull elbows apart as they turn. It sounds like this product would make a lot of sense for your son.

I am thinking about getting the Bat Drag Buster for my 10yr old. I have noticed the product has been out for a while. Are there any current testimonials or videos that show how it is changed someone’s swing? Thanks!

We sell lots of them daily and kids as young as 8 are loving it. I sold 20 to a college last week. My pro guys love it because you can hit with it on.

It’s been great for my hitters in person and online.
