When a hitter struggles, most players, parents, and coaches immediately look for flaws in the player’s swing mechanics. This may be needed but it shouldn’t always be the first stop. Many hitters have quite sound mechanics but fail to make obvious athletic adjustments. These adjustments are not hard to identify but are not always thought about. The main adjustments can be summed up in these two questions:
1.) Am I missing over or under the baseball?
2.) Am I too early or too late?
In the video below, Gabe will discuss how to actually make the adjustments once they are identified.
