Jayce Blaylock: LLWS BOMB for the Ages

Written By: Chas Pippitt

Jayce Blaylock, a Little League Baseball player for the Georgia State Champion Little League Team hit a MASSIVE home run in their LLWS game on ESPN a few days ago.  There were some really great things in his swing, and with his very small but efficient movements, Jayce was able to generate about as much power as a 12u player possibly can.  Interestingly, he did not have a huge leg kick or a large forward move at all, something that many people (somewhat falsely) think we’re all about here at Baseball Rebellion.  I loved his movements and how he opened his hips and front leg to give him room to turn and how well he stayed shoulder to the pitcher all the way to foot strike.  I think Jayce has a great future ahead of him if he can stay in his athletic movements and continue to swing with the ferocious yet controlled violence he currently employs.

Check out his monster shot below and the 4 or 5 things I really liked in his swing.
