Hitting a baseball (or softball) is truly an art. But, with the more recent developments in technology, hitting is becoming more science as well. There are clearly defined ways to gain more power and more consistent success levels at the dish like: 1. Gaining more separation between the pelvis and the shoulders, and 2. Turning more of your mass with Super-Thrust.
After my 9000th lesson, I took a little time to reflect on my teaching career and I realized that there are a few glaring issues with how I frame realistic expectations to my players that I work with and their parents and coaches.
